Thanksgiving / Sebastian Inlet State Park

Wednesday November 26- Its moving day.....again our Soffee was up last night, she is really starting to worry us. During the night she wont sleep and is just acting weird, then during the day she spunks back up. We are both working today with about 4 hours of sleep. It was raining when we started the process of packing up but it quit as we were leaving. Got on the road around 8:45. It rained a little but it wasn't the weather that was a problem, the traffic was the problem. It was fairly busy the whole trip. We kinda expected that with the holiday weekend. We drove 240 miles which is pushing the limits we set. The bad part was the last part of the trip. It was through town and very slow going. We checked in got our paperwork and headed to our spot. We have been here before and actually are staying in the same spot, #37. We had problems getting in, it wasn't angled at all and the site was very unlevel. It took us awhile to get set up. It was a very long day and both of us were tired. Went to bed early.

Thursday November 27- Happy Thanksgiving everyone. We have a thanksgiving like everyone else. Jeff put our turkey breast in the crock pot. I got going on the rest of the menu. The good news ......Soffee slept last night...I'm thankful for that. We enjoyed our feast and then I did all the dishes up. Since we had so much to eat thought we would take the dogs for a walk. Soffee seems to really be back to herself. That's a relief. It was really a pretty day but still a bit cool. We talked to our grandkids on facetime and that's always a great time. I worked on the blog and pictures. We had hoped to get our kayaks out this time. The weather isn't really cooperating.

Friday November 28-Well Soffee slept again. The sun was out but it colder than normal with some wind. Jeff worked on his fishing poles to get them ready for some fishing. This place is crazy for fishing. He also went to wash the truck and fill it for our next move. I decided to decorate for Christmas. We walked around the campground and cant believe how many people fish here. We had so much food leftover that I didn't cook all day. We watched the Iowa Hawkeyes get beat. Its suppose to be warmer and less windy tomorrow.

Saturday November 29- Sunshine today with temps up in the 70's. To start the day off Jeff got online and looked at our Verizon bill....its still not right. They aren't giving us enough gigs and wanting to charge us too much. Jeff gave them a call AGAIN. After spending 2 1/2 hours on the phone, I'm still not sure what if anything has changed. They are suppose to be fixing it...I think we've heard that before. We don't want special treatment, just what they told us we would get. The wind is still pretty gusty so no luck with the kayaks. Jeff went for a bike ride because there are wonderful bike paths. He said the wind was wicked. I sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine. We loaded up the bikes and the other stuff for our long trip south tomorrow.
